The Barista

by Elijah Aguilar   Jan 23, 2019

Coffee, ice cold, hot, americano, espresso
The beautiful blend of imported mature beans
Was it as beautiful as the girl making my coffee that day?
Her hair silver, platinum probably dyed, eyes blue
Stature small yet curvy
She wears the uniform well
Who is she?
I’ve never seen her before or maybe I wasn’t paying attention
Her natural beauty was nothing less than impressive
She stands, looks up and says
What do you want
Speechless
What else to say but nothing
No need to stay quiet and make it awkward,
Coffee in response I say
She smiles and begins a fluid set of motions that seem to be implanted in her brain
What is this feeling?
What does this mean?
This sexual tension everytime I see her
What do I do?
