This blanket still smells like you.

Offering this blanket,
I could tell your eyes were sore,
We were up so late, drinking our hearts away.
You layed your head upon the cushion, the blanket pulled right up to your neck.
In almost an instant, you were asleep.
I was left staring at your face.
A moment I wish I could live in forever.
Such beauty.
Now it's been two days, I lay awake with this blanket in my arms.
The scent of you still lingers on this warmth.
I wish you didn't go.
I'll see you again,
But not for long.
As time is coming to where we part ways,
And there will be no better days.
So every night, I lay and cry,
With the thought of you,
I dare not to share.
The only piece of you that remains.
Is this blanket, that still smells like you.
