Oh autumn leaves how green
You are and how vivid are
Your flowers clearly seen
In spring with yellow scar

Oh death ! How alive
You are and how keen
How loud as a hive
With your busy sheen

Oh winter ! How bright
Your days and how clean
Assure your dark night
Of the coming scene
