A nature's court

A nature's Court

With an abundance of flowers
White as morning snow,
An almond tree, neath sun showers
Smiled and with pride did glow

It looked at a near olive tree
And despised its dark green
That lacked the vernal dress and glee
As a gloomy sad scene.

Winter came with its colour thieves,
The naked almond glanced
And envied the dense olive leaves
That, with winter winds danced.
