Did you know that camellias symbolise different things based on their colours? :) I'm definitely curious about your choice of flower!

This is different for you Noura, and I certainly don't mean that a negative. The beauty comes from the rich repertoire of language at your disposal, and its effortlessness. One comment would be to replace one of your two uses of 'golden' in the first stanza though!

I love Ney music...and the last stanza is certainly the centrepiece. Well written as ever Noura.

Danny! Thanks for the comment. Yes, I never wrote about it, but I do love to belly dance. It's a beautiful kind of art.

Camellias symbolize passion. That was my intention at least when I used it. Red camellias, I guess?

The repetition of "golden" and "brick-red" was intentional as well. These two colors symbolize love, lust, vividity, confidence, for me.
