Golden

by Beautiful Tragedy   May 7, 2020

Spinning in my chair in the security office I look down at my Apple watch.
You have a habit of making my heart race to the point it’s at 129;
And as I look over at you in your penn state hat and cargo pants I’m pretty sure I feel it skip a beat.
A smile automatically lights up my face when you glance over at me from your computer-
Laugh lines lighting up your eyes the way the sunlight did the trees the other day on our adventure,
And it’s golden.
You are golden.
Everything is golden and I’m trying hard not to let myself fall but I can’t help it-
When you are around everything is literally perfect.
I am happy;
Even if I’m hurting and trying to heal.
I don’t know where this is going on what we are doing but-
I do know that I don’t ever want this end.
Like ever.

    It feels to me like this love is new and still at that 'pinch me, I can't believe it' stage. Beautifully put and Golden indeed.

    What a joyous poem to read during these troubling times. If this is literal, I'm glad to read you are so happy.
    All the very best
