I've unfortunately felt this too. You write it so well!

Michael, a sad tale indeed. Beautifully done! Glad to see it nominated.

Last three lines hit especially hard. The hurt and exhaustion of going through this, believing someone and following their love, only to come to the conclusion they are not worthy of it. I feel like it's something we all go through. And sometimes, we can't know how it will end, or see people for who they truly are. And that's not on us. It's only human to want that love and to trust in it so fiercely that we open ourselves up to being vulnerable, and facing this pain.

Glad to see you writing on here, Michael (well in the last month or so!)
