Blackened Heart

by Jenni Hardwick   Dec 25, 2020

I've always loved you, so I thought together forever, we were not.
When you left you didn't know you left the broken pieces of my heart.
Without oxygen the heart so broken, it withers & blackens upon death. This is my heart without you, you may as well have taken my life.
Though I could never hate you, my blackened heart will never, forget
YOU..................

    Welcome to PnQ.
The feeling of a relationship ending can be all consuming. As you say, without oxygen the heart is broken. That physical pain we feel is like a heart being torn into pieces.
You've described your pain well. I hope you feel better soon.
