This poem is powerful and beautiful! I loved the rhymes and the title. All of it is lovely, but my favourite line is the last :)
    Wonderful, I loved reading it!

Miss Kitty, a punch in the gut piece. When love has left us and we are bruised and bleeding this poem hit on those feelings perfectly. I hope this wasn't a true life piece? Hugs-

      Hey Brenda, how are you?
Thanks for your comments ... I'm sad to say it does currently reflect my state of mind, but as always, getting it out in this way really helps :-) x

This is excellent and so relating to me at the moment because I am so near to being made homeless at present so it definitely hits home for me lol) but a house is just bricks and water, a home is what you make it.glad to see this nominated x

Hi Em, this relates more to a metaphorical homelessness rather than literally but I'm so sorry to hear that you're at risk of losing your home, that must be hugely stressful for you. I hope you're able to get the help you need to avoid that, and soon! Xx

    Hello Kitty,

nice to see you back :)

A poem like this is so personal that no one could accurately decipher it. . To me it conveys a heart that is homeless, adrift once more, not sure of where it will wash up. On the ocean is a place where wounds can be tended and plans made for a destination. In a world of shipwrecks, there is bound to be another that will make your 'hollow core' full again.

    Best of luck xx

      Hey Mr D,
Yes it's about my homeless heart. Not sure I'm ready to bump into other 'shipwrecks' just yet though! Thanks for your comments :-) x

Great to see you back, Kitty, even with this rather melancholy piece (says he...)
