String Theory

A kite won't fly without a string
Nor would a yoyo start to swing
The clothes you wear would all fall down
If all these strings would not be bound

The dog you walk, would runaway
Or the boat that's moored would go astray
Your favourite picture could not be hung
Or a violin played when it's not strung

Because a special bond exists
When all it's strands and fibres twist
That even if it were made long
Its grip would be just as strong

So much like a relationship
When two random people coexist
An invisible string will join you both
To share your love and life and growth

It doesn't mean that you are tied
As some people would imply
It connects you both when you're not near
And love's what makes the bond cohere

But if you live no strings attached
This special bond you will lack
As love walks blind without this trail
And its return will always fail
