Morning Mist

by Walter   Oct 9, 2022

The morning fresh air
Is cool on my skin
It awakes all my senses
As I begin

Foot prints on grass
Are left on the dew
The mist of the morning
Is hard to see through

The sunshine that beams
When showing first light
Through trees of the forest
Is such a delight

And birds start to chirp
While nesting in trees
Orchestrated tunes
Are played with such ease

But I can't help smile
As slowly I stroll
And breathe in all nature
Deep in my soul

The sky has turned blue
The ground mostly green
And the aura of flowers
Are colours in between

There's nobody here
But I'm not alone
As I am surrounded
By this unknown

This is called nature
And I always stare
To find this oasis
Is becoming so rare

I am so grateful
For me it is near
But even when the mist settles
Our future's unclear
