Moonlit Eyes

by Walter   Jul 3, 2023

With only a moon for the light
Though I didn't need any more
Your reflection was only slight
But one that I couldn't ignore

Where your features would softly glow
And highlighting all of your skin
But the crescent moon doesn't show
Revealing your beauty within

You let me glimpse inside your heart
The moment you captured my eyes
Your glowing light right off the charts
That doesn't come from the skies

Where your warmth would radiate
Although you are perfectly still
When your aurora would sedate
While giving the greatest thrill

Because the moon cannot compare
With your eyes while open wide
It's your allure which holds my stare
From your lustrous glow inside
