A Little Clue (A Hint From Me To You) Rewrite

by Meagan Sponseller   Sep 3, 2023

These walls I've built up,
Well, they're not so strong.
They can be torn down with time,
Try to follow along.

See these walls aren’t what they appear.
They’re simply a mirage.
A mask carefully constructed
To shield from life’s barrage.

These walls I've built up,
If you look hard enough you’ll see right through.
Saying “I don’t want to let people in”
Has never rang true

These walls I’ve built up,
They’ve only boxed me in.
I’m tearing it down from my side,
I finally want to live again.

Let’s tear down our walls,
Both yours and mine.
There’s no need to hold back,
I’d love you for all time.

Should we build another wall,
It will be always be together.
A little house with walls,
A place for our forever.
