~Coyote~

by Radiioactivitea   Feb 20, 2024

In the misty woods, I roam
My paws hurting from hunting alone
On this concrete I call home
But deep inside, I am not just a clone

For I am a creature of the wild
A coyote, with a spirit untamed and wild
I may walk on two legs, with human hands
But my heart belongs to the ancient lands

Among the conifer trees, I find solace
Away from the noise and constant malice
I am at peace, in this cottagecore dream
Where the deer skulls adorn the stream
