permanence and change

by VICTOR DYCK   May 20, 2025

we tend to feel our families and friends
like sculpture that's alive when they die or move
it puts holes in the universe
memories help a lot
crying in a summer field
the memories help flowers grow
we try to recreate some of the friendship and wisdom and imitate certain things they did
like eating the same food or coffee ways of walking talking
and habits like timing things
or enthusiasms they had
