Everything Will Heal

by Jay Colon   Aug 12, 2025

I look at you,
And the first thing I want to do
is to grab you by the neck
and kiss you.

But before I do,
I need to tell you:

I’m not like this generation,
Sending empty “wyd” messages.

This is me
in the flesh,
vulnerable spirit exposed,
telling you:
Get ready.
I’m on my way.

I don’t want to text.
I want to say it all in person.
I crave your energy,
Your presence.

I miss you
The way we converse deeply,
capturing your mind’s attention.

I want to flip through the pages of your thoughts,
learn your creative passion,
and become the person
You’ve been waiting for an eternity.

I’ll tell you the last thing you did
That made me smile.
I’ll take you on that date
It’s never too late.

I will show you:

Your walk.
Your attitude.
Your confidence.

Your scent.
Your touch.
Your voice.

Everything about you
is enough.

With love,
It’s never a struggle.

Let me feed you
consistency,
humor,
and peace.

I promise,
Everything will heal.
