A Relationship Not built On Christ Cannot Endure
For when love is lifted above him, it becomes and Idol,
and every idol eventually falls.
To love God is to give Him the whole heart,
not divided loyalty, not partial surrender
what is built with one foot in faith
and one foot in self
will not stand when the weight of life presses in
Many have been wounded by the
church meant to guide them
For this, Forgiveness is asked,
for men may fail, even while standing in holy places.
Yet do not measure Christ by those who misrepresented him.
Lift your eyes from men and look to him.
Trust Placed in people will disappoint,
but trust rooted in the lord will not be shaken
For he is the Shepherd of the soul,
the foundation beneath every lasting bond,
The Author and Finisher of faith
Do not build on emotion alone,
for emotions shift like sand.
Build on the One who formed the heart itself,
Jesus, the son of the living God.
Blessed is He who was,
who is and who is to come.
