Over the years, honesty has been defined incompletely. It is often described as simply telling the truth or being real. But I discovered a deeper meaning of honesty when I asked a little girl if she was honest. She replied that she was not, because sometimes she tells lies. In that moment, I realized something important.

"Honesty is not the absence of lies, but the ability to tell the truth, to be real, and to take responsibility for the lies we sometimes tell."
