A School Crush

by Prince Enigma   Jul 18, 2004

Shy but tender inside,
I was so afraid,
Why is beauty such a big deal?
Too bad we aren't at a masquerade.

Remember the famous quote,
"Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder",
I wonder if that is true,
I'll probably get the cold shoulder.

I push up my thick glasses,
Knowing I must approach her,
Our eyes are locked,
Everything around me started to blur.

It was a dream of course,
Just my luck,
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Am I really that much of schmuck?

A girl like that will never go for me,
Especially with this huge pimple,
I put on my ninja turtle pajamas,
I think to myself, is love that simple?

I'm no Romeo, but she's my Juliet,
Only if I was a prince,
I should be true to myself,
But how can I convince...
Nevermind...
I loved her ever since...

Wishing I was in the popular crowd,
Time for me to go to bed,
Once again dreaming about her,
She is the Lady in red.

I'm late for school,
Today is "Show and Tell",
She presents to the class,
Her farewell.

She is moving out of the country,
I have no idea what to do,
Maybe this is my chance,
Before her final adieu.

I run to the washroom,
To comb my hair,
I am extremely nervous,
This is the ultimate lifetime dare.

She is no where to be seen,
I ask her best friend,
She is gone like the wind,
The End.

I liked that. I describes so well how a nerd likes a girl or something and then she leaves. Or atleast that's the picture I got. I must say this one was very good. Keep writing,
