Why is it now?

by Jill Turner   Jul 18, 2004

Why is it now,
Even after so long.
Still in my eyes,
You can do no wrong.
Why is it now,
You are still in my heart.
When you were the one,
Who tore it apart.
Why is it now,
My heart still skips a beat.
When someone says your name,
Or when we meet.
Why is it now,
When I think of you and me.
I laugh and then cry,
At how things used to be.
Why is it now,
My memory is so clear.
Of all of the love,
That we once shared.
Why is it now,
I still forgive everything you do.
Why is it now,
That I still love you?
