Wishing On A Star

by Jill Turner   Jul 22, 2004

I'm sitting here all alone on a Friday night,
Wishing on a star with all my might.
That my phone will ring and it will be you,
And you'll tell me that all my dreams have come true.
That you'll be there to catch me when I fall,
And help me get through it all.
I want you to be the one who holds my hand,
As we walk together along the sand.
I know that if you just called, we could figure this out,
Cause I'm tired of having all of this doubt.
I don't care if others don't want us to be,
All that should matter is just you and me.
I know you're a little older, but only by a year,
So why are we living our lives in fear.
Fear of what might happen, Fear of what might come,
Fear that me and you might never become one.
We'll never know if we don't try,
It's like having wings but never wanting to fly.
