A Moment In Time

We walk along the beach, hand in hand
Leave a trail of footprints upon the soft sand
The orange sun low in the sky
Lapping of the waves, a lone seagull’s cry

For such a long time we have waited for this
You face me and smile, I steal a quick kiss
You laugh and blush, the wind in your hair
You act like you’re shocked, but don’t really care

We love each other like never before
It wouldn’t be possible to love someone more
We look into each other’s eyes, the sky is streaked with red
Not a word passes from our lips, yet so much is said

We hold each other in this magical place
Filled with emotion, a tear rolls down my face
We will be together beyond the end of time
