Crazy Beautiful

by Hillary Starz   Jul 30, 2004

He sees beauty in her eyes,
Through her soul and painful cries,
In her mistakes he sees a will to try again,
When she shouts and tries to run away from reality he gently shakes her with a kiss,
As they lie down they slowly forget the noises and distractions of the world.

And in the warmth of the red velvet blanket he whispers in her ears as she sleeps “I love you”,
Her past haunts her as she dreams slowly reenacting her childhood of abuse,
But he is there to stay as she looks into his eyes and then the dream dies.

People look at them with hatred and confusion to why the are not ashamed to be together,
He is someone,
She is just a mess with alcohol abuse,
He is smart and can do anything with his life,
She finds ways to hurt herself with out even knowing.

Is there love for one another just a waste, he would ask himself.
Am I the right girl for this guy who loves me even through a blanket of deception, she thinks.

“This love is rare and something that not everyone has” he says to her,
“But I prefer to call it, Crazy Beautiful.”
