She Consumes

by Jessica   Jul 31, 2004

She consumes, throughout the years
As if nothing could possibly matter to her
Apart from that window, she gazes out
Apart from those old friends she turns,
to the right direction
She is joined by new ones

She has changed
So she can be understood

She says to herself
\"I am so tired of people putting me down. Just so tired.
I Could Would Should\"

She is trying to step up
She is going to try to let it bleed for all its worth
She is not going to try to turn in the opposite direction
She don\'t want to go down the road in shame

All tho she will be still somewhere on the outside
looking in

Another year has gone by
She changed again
Not as empty as she was before
She looks forward with out a doubt

She consumes, throughout the day
As if nothing could possibly matter to her
Apart from that window, she gazes out
Apart from her old life she turns, to her new
She is joined by new friends,
And her spirit has brighten her and others

She started this years ago
On a long paths
And winding roads
leading her to somewhere she don\'t know
Its was leading her to shame

She was always running to something
over and over again
For this was her problem
And she has learned from it

She stepped up
No more people pushing her down
She did let it bleed for all its worth
She didn\'t turn in the opposite direction
She didn\'t go down the road in shame

She says to herself with tears of joy
\"Look what you have done to me. You have made me perfect. You made me see that I don\'t want to be like you and I don\'t gave a shit anymore.\"

She always thought she would be on the outside looking in
But now she is in the inside looking out
Now she is growing old in this great world
