Beautiful

The wind whispered away at the sand
Moving it like waves of water
And as the hours passes
The day seemed to get hotter

As the sun emerges from the clouds
It's light glistened off the water's waves
The wind ran through my hair
I felt my body crave

The cumulus white clouds shading just a bit
And I looked around in pure awe
With the eyes of a painter and the heart of a writer
I felt a passion for this place and all that I saw

It's hard to believe what love can do
How it can change a cynical person's point of view
Something so simple as the texture of a wall changed so easily
It will leave me amazed completely

Look at the pictures you've painted
Look at the love you describe as tainted
This magical art is mesmerizing
All the tainted love is tantalizing

With the whisperings of sweet nothings
Could this love really be something?
The paintings with paint strewn all around
Emotions in which I seem to drown

Describe this love however you want to
Call it a disease, a virus, or just the flu
But whether tainted or real
I can't forget how he makes me feel

With him I'll always have sparkling stars
And this world will seem like it's all ours
Like beautiful butterflies and a newly bloomed rose
My love for him surely shows

So I'll look along the glistening waters
And I'll watch the sunrise and sunset
I'll continue to see the world as I see it now
Because I'm not willing to give this feeling up yet
