Lest we forget

by Joe Moore   Aug 6, 2004

You walked in
no you answered a prayer
you bestowed ambiance
to my feeble thought s of of love.
what i had presumed to be
deep yearnings of eternal happiness
were mere pubic doses of puppy love with no knowledge of the truth

you brought unbeknown realism
to a heart functioning under the auspices of this is what true love is about.
if i had been blessed to have known that you existed in this realm of perpetual fantasies
i would have followed the gods of
love into the bowels of hell for just on more look at the spring of all that is love.
every day that i know you is a lesson in amoure'. soft, gentle patient, stomach wrenching, heart pounding love, the kind that is today and always. the kind that knows tomorrow is another day to show this soul f mind that you have been touched by an angel.
touched by one of the chosen ones.
and there is nothing in this world that would be more horrible than to have a life so full of the greatest gift that man could have and become forgetful of the love.
so while i have a minute of clear thought and i progress to the point that i can't remember your face, hands, touch, eyes, your voice
lord let not such a horrid occasion darken this door, i say, if not for you
