Just two stars in a park

Just two stars in a park
That's what we were
As we strolled along the sandy edge of fate
The bright moon was gazing upon us with an illuminated grin
The stars were glistening, and shinning so flawlessly
I held your hand within mine
It was soft and comforting to know you were there by my side
I kept looking at you
Even though you didn't see me doing so
Your eyes had a boyish glint to them
When you were playing on the equipment you had a gleeful smile upon your lips
Yet you still had that boyish charm
It was written in the way you smiled, the way you walked, and the way you talked
You seemed 10 years younger
It was almost as if you were reliving your childhood over again
As you were playing
I went and laid down on the grass
But still my eyes were glued to you
Even from afar
I couldn't help but chuckle to myself, you were just so precious
You were caught in that childhood moment
Then, you came to me and lied down next to me
right before my eyes the boyish face I once saw, was transformed into a man's face
One with great love and pride
It twinkled in your eyes
You looked upon me with such intent, and lovingness
I couldn't help but grow nervous
I stared upon the beautiful night's sky
The stars told you everything that was in my heart
They shared the same glow that will last forever between you and I
After all, we were just two stars in a park
Walking along the sandy edge of fate
As we fell more in love with each other.
