I always knew

by Candice   Aug 11, 2004

You have caught me alone
at a time of misunderstanding
To leave this place
no option or demanding
This is what happens
what was forever known to be
I have no choices
it was never up to me

The redundance is killer
with the soft crash of tides
An Alcatraz of places
surrounded on all sides
The evergreen with needles
that always know their color
Forgive me for ever thinking
I was ever something other

Predecision made
of decisions yet to come
Who was I to think
that I could change the sum
There's something to be said
of this neverending turn
But its not for me to say
which makes it no concern

I will not expect
for only to be let down
I will not listen
for an all to familiar sound
I agree to disagree
only because I should
And I choose leave
I have always known I could.
