One Decision I Have to Make

by dandy   Aug 11, 2004

I have to tell you this,
I will begin from the start.
This one decision I have to make,
just might break your heart.
I don't think our relationship is really working out.
We'd be better off as just friends,
about this I have no doubts.

This one decision I have to make, is tearing me up inside,
but if I said I still did love you, then I would have lied.
In a way I do love you,
but not like you might think,
I just don't know what to say, our emotions aren't in sync.

This one decision I have to make,
it seriously stinks.
I have to piece this thing together,
find the missing links.
Please don't take this the wrong way,
but our ages are apart.
Our interests and feelings just don't match,
so it makes it kind of hard.

Your very nice and sweet and kind,
and I want to stay your friend,
through the many bumps and roads of life,
through it's many turns and bends.
You and me together just aren't icing on the cake.

I still don't really like my decision.
This one decision I have to make.

I wrote this about a year ago to express my feelings to my soon to be ex-boyfriend. I never gave it to him, but I look back at it every now and then.
