Future

by Jackie Bilson   Aug 22, 2004

My future is up to only one,
Someone careless and unreliable.
Her pushing drive is slim to none,
But her dreams are undeniable.

Clueless as of what to do,
Risking her grades for the career.
It may look as if she'll see this through,
But only if she conquers her fears.

When push comes to shove will she make it?
Will she step up to the plate?
If she's given the chance will she take it?
Or will she just run away?

A single moment could make or break,
But I can't achieve if I don't try.
There are so many chances I have yet to take,
And if I don't my future will fry.

Universities to choose from,
Philosophy and Psych.
Choosing the best for what's to come,
Or choosing what I like.

My future is only up to one,
And that someone is me.
All I know is that it doesn't seem like such fun,
But success in life doesn't come free.
