The Crying Man (Part 60)

by ntv650   Aug 23, 2004

Every word you slip in ever sentence of ever letter you write to me,
Incites me with hope and just makes everything more terrible.

Because When I close my eyes I can imagine ourselves happy,
But When I open them I gaze into eternal darkness.

And the pain cuts deep as a dagger wound that forms this scar,
So I sit and tell myself that you're a lie and not part of this life.

But still I try to reach out and touch your gentle fantasy hands,
Only to stroke the picture of you that hangs on my bedroom wall.

So I turn to face reality and this gaping hole where you should be,
But all that stares back is my mirror reflecting a crying man that looks like me.

Or maybe just try your hardest to forget.
Then again I don't give the best advice in the world, so you'd probably be better off listenin to that other gal.

  • Cheer up! Time will fly and one day you will be together with her. Realize that with each day passing by, you are one more day closer to her. Be happy. Just forget the distance. Feel the presence. Thats the best cure. Love, Trincy.

Well I've decided to name each of my poems seperately since people said they were getting confused, but I've still go (Part x) to benefit both myself and those that prefered the numerical "For Sonja (Part x)" anyway, nothings changed, feel free to comment or e-mail me personally.
