Hope You Understand

I write these words and hope you'll understand
There comes a time and place in life where we fall or make a stand
A time when we are either weak or strong
And others can pull us down or help us along
Grab ahold of what I say
Don't let these words just walk away
Life can be a heavy load
We carry upon our backs down a rocky road
Or it can be as smooth as silk
With a sweet taste of honey and milk
There will be times when we laugh or cry
Not enough hellos and too many goodbyes
Sometimes it will be like darkness all around
causing us to stumble and fall to the ground
Then there will be times we see the light
And everything seems just right
We all need love to make it through
We all need a good friend or two
Love offers a helping hand
I write these words and hope you understand
What it all comes down too,I want to say
Is lets all be a friend to someone today!
