One fine day...

by praveen   Sep 13, 2004

One fine day I had a dream,
She was there standing with her eyes full of gleam.
And I with my stretched arms,
Waiting for the eternity in calm.

Will she ? Won't she ?
Each second felt like ages,
Is it one of those wonderfull stages?

Its like a river on its meandering course,
Where time gallops like a horse.
Hoping against hope,
that somehow, somewhere it will reach the sea shore.

The river is tired,
It has lost all its fire.
But still something keeps it going,
Its the love for the sea,
The love which chains it like a slave,
And keeps it bound inside the cave.
The cave which is open only at one end,
The end where the waiting arms are spread.

Oh! at last the long journey is over,
Is that you my darling, my love?
Or is that just an imaginary dove?
The day is over, the dream is over,
Still waiting for her is this desperate lover.
