My Golden Goddess

by Bryce Ellner   Sep 16, 2004

My wish is to only love thee.
My Shinning Goddess in the sky.
Tis her I only want to hold.
To be without her, I would die.
I hath sword my love to her.
And pledged my heart and soul.
I'll protect her with my own life.
I'll never let her go.
She is my shrine.
To all that I live for.
My golden shining goddess.
And I love her.

She is the light that brightens my nights.
My savior that enlightens my path.
Her love for me is like no other.
I sometimes think myself unworthy of what I have.
All the darkness around me drifts away.
When my gorgeous girl is nigh.
My beautiful, pure angel.
My goddess, my light in the sky...

Never shall I make her cry.
Never will I tell her a lie.
I would give up everything else I prize.
Just to know that shes mine...

Lol, well the sad part is that I didnt write this for a girl. When I first started writing, my friend Daniel and I liked to rival each others' poems. So when he wrote a poem about a particular subject that he really liked, I wrote one to rival his and vice-versa. This was my very first love poem and I wrote it to rival his poem which is called "Ethereal". We tried to have a little contest over our two....He won :P
