Good Times

by MirMir   Sep 28, 2004

Every time you're around me I smile,
and you made last summer worth my while.
The memories still run through my head,
as they will until I'm dead.

At first I tried to forget about you,
as you can see that stuck like some dollar store glue.
This weekend seemed like good old times,
and yes I still do wish you were mine.

I sit here and look at your black hat,
maybe one day I'll give you dap.
You still have the lighter with my name all up on it,
knowing that I can't just quit.

I still like you and you still like me,
as if nobody could see.
Hopefully this summer brings more good times,
if they do it will be because you're mine.
