We can blame it on the moon for all of the crazy nights.
For all the times it was full, every time we had a fight.
We can blame it on other people and the way they talked.
They never wanted us to be together anyways, so away we walked.
We can blame it on the affairs or all of the mistakes.
Or all of the chances that we didn't take.
We can blame it on the times I went to talk to him instead of you,
When I walked away instead of working things through.
We can blame it on distance, not spending enough time together,
Though I thought we had a life time.
We can blame it on ourselves when things just weren't right.
We're two different people and you're not Mr. Right.
We can blame it on all of these things.
Blame it on life, love, or pride.
But don't say we never tried.
