Love In A Disguise

**This Poem Is Dedicated To My Ex-Boyfriend Derek...I'll Always Love Him, No Matter What!**

I saw a boy. He was the little brother of a guy I knew. Throwing things out the window weren't things I thought were cool. Always getting in trouble and chillen with the guys. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

Camp came around and every day I saw this boy. Always he was talking like a broken toy. Always goofing around, but still he half way tries. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

Wet, wild and fun at the car wash, baking underneath the Texan sun. Flirting, talking, and water balloons, turned out to be a lot of fun. A new friendship sprung much to my surprise. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

The night of a dance too blind to see what was going on and talking in a dark room, then leaving to see the dawn. Then I saw something in his eyes. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

When he asked me to the Homecoming dance, I was jumping up and down, I even wanted to prance. I was so happy, tears formed in my eyes. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

Then I moved away. We went up and down. We decided to say good-bye. There were tears and a heartache. But little did I know it was love in a disguise.

We went on a walk around the park. He held me close when time got dark. He kept me warm in the December cold. Not knowing what the future may unfold. Watching the sunset into the sky. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

I moved back just for him. That was something he didn't know. He still liked me and how I loved him so. We got back together, we gave it another try. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

When he said " I love you" I swear it was a dream come true. Nothing was more magical. I was in the heavens and I know that it made me fly. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

Through all of the hard times, with all of the drama, he made me laugh. We would go on dream dates. We'd walk on the beach and drink frozen drinks with lime. He'd kiss my neck and I'd see my future in his eyes. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

He went away with all of my trust. I wanted him to be happy, I wanted him to go, to the place where dreams come true. Maybe for them but not for you. I forgot about all of the things that happened and forgot all of the lies. Little did I know that it was love in a disguise.

It was great for a little while, since we kept it hidden for our loves sake. Then I went and made a huge mistake. So you left, the only thing I needed to survive. I lost the love of my life. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

Although we were not talking, if ever we needed each other, there was no way to keep us apart or off the phone. We couldn't ever stop because we would always restart. We were always be each others side, especially when we were sad and wanted to cry. Little did I know it was love in a disguise.

Through thick and thin, going up and down. Together, apart, smiles and frowns. Through all of the giggles and laughs, and all the nights I cried, little did I know it was love in a disguise.

We still like each other, him and I, we've never been better friends. I can tell you now our relationship will never end. Whether we are lovers or whether we are friends, we will still be together all of our lives. Because little did I know it was love in a disguise.
