Lost But Not Forgotten

by Nicholas   Oct 17, 2004

I have somehow loved her,
Since before we even met.
And I have known since then,
One thing I'd never forget.
That thing? You ask? I'm sorry,
But it's undefinable.
It has no physical boundaries,
Therefore is not confinable.
It has no shape or color,
Nor a name to be called.
It is not considered emotional
But still leaves one enthralled.
It has no pungent oders,
So it leaves no certain airs.
And this object, were it called that,
Cannot be listed among wares.
But there's a trait that may be named,
Of this thing so misbegotten.
That is, though it may be lost,
It shall never be forgotten.
