Once in a lifetime
you are fortunate enough
to come across a person
who will change your life forever
but change it for the best.
when you first meet this person you have no idea
that they will impact you
in such an amazing way.
Most of the time
you have no idea
how important this person is
until they are no longer around
they may be around for seconds or years.
When they are around for years
a special bond is formed that cannot be broken.
They may be beside you or miles away
as long as you remain
in each others hearts
there is nothing that will come between you,
This person is unlike any other person
you have met they say what they mean
and remain true to their word.
You realize their importance
but don't know how to tell them
so you keep it to yourself
until the right time comes
but what if the right time never comes
what if something happens to you or to them
and you never get the chance
to thank them and to say
how much they mean to you
nobody knows what the future holds
so while you have the chance
tell them how much you care
and how much you love them
because you never know
if next time will come.
