Unmasked

by LeAnNe   Oct 19, 2004

You opened my eyes to the world.
You made me see just who I could be.
You made me believe in myself.
I loved you for that.
I loved for you for how good you made me feel.
But that’s over now.
Your lies were all unveiled.
Your motives are clear in my mind.
Never did you actually mean the things you said.
You put on a great front.
I was oblivious.
Of everything.
You. Your lies. Your hatred.
But now I see beneath your mask.
And I hate who you really are.

That's such an awesome poem! I can totally relate to it. But no matter what, we can't let it bring us down. Keep up your spiffy writing.
