Saati

by Alison   Oct 20, 2004

No longer will I take my friends for granted
I’m gonna cherish and love them as if they were family
They have been there all along but I did not see
Been there when I have been down,
Been there when I’ve been happy,
Loving me being around
I thought my “friends” were my reason for dying,
Now I’ve realized that my friends are my reason for no longer crying,
Thank you so very much for healing these self-inflicted cuts in my skin
Thank you for renewing my faith and feeling
You’re all in my heart forever
We’ll never leave each others side, Not for a second, Never
I need you as much as the earth needs the sun
I’ll love you until the worlds dead and done
My life use to be constantly depressed
Now I’m so happy my life’s a constant party
I love you so much.
You are my Saati.

[Saati is the word for a friend that's close enough to be considered a family member in Japanese]
