Purely Poison

by Serena   Oct 25, 2004

It’s purely poison what you do to me, in all it’s tainted bliss,
A toxin that began, I fear, with just a single kiss.
After just one taste I knew I needed more,
For your poison was seeping straight down to my core.
I could feel my blood burning as it coursed through my veins,
It awakened every inch of me, just driving me insane.
When you lean in close and we’re standing to face to face,
My breathing gets heavy and my heart begins to race.
Every time we kiss, in your venom slips,
Then I know what you want, for I can taste it on your lips
Pure, perfect poison, the ultimate sensation,
It keeps my body yearning, until I give into temptation.
You absorb all my torture, but too quickly comes the end,
For withdrawal begins to hit, and I crave your drug again.
Left cold and corrupted, I blindly follow my heart,
Because if I let this poison fade, we’d completely be apart.
I know that its wrong, but it always feels so good,
I can’t kick my addiction, though I wish that I could.
You don’t know what you do to me, although it’s written in my eyes,
And you’ll never see what happens when the poison finally dies…
