Little Girl's Fairy Tale

by Nikki   Oct 26, 2004

She believed in love since she was little,
Dreaming of her prince charming to come.
She wanted her own little fairy tale,
After seeing everyone else live theirs.
When the little girl grew up,
She gave up on love,
And love gave up on her.
She met a young man,
And she got scared to love hi,
So she didn't give him her heart,
She thought if she didn't give it,
He couldn't break it.
But he broke something else,
Her spirits,
She lost her hopes when she lost him.
Her fairy tale was cold and bitter,
And her life became so lonely.
After her man left her,
She wondered if that was her Prince walking away.
She knew it couldn't be,
Princes and love don't exist.
So now the little girl sits,
An old lady now,
Sitting,
Waiting for her prince to come,
And her fairy tale to find its happy ending.
