Laughter has faded
as we stare
into each others eyes
my heart
is beating faster
than it ever has before
my hands are shaking
as are yours
as we lean
in toward each other
i feel as though
I'm going to explode
you place your hand
upon my cheek
our eyes close
i feel your soft lips
slowly press against mine
a feeling has come over me
as i realize
were still laughing
it was all
