When Our Hearts Began to speak...

by Stephen Levant   Nov 1, 2004

When our hearts began to speak, I spoke words of thoughtfulness and wonder. The conversations were varied and many touching all aspects of life.

When our hearts began to speak, I spoke words of encouragement, often said to the weak, designed to uplift and inspire, fostering confidence in self.

When our hearts began to speak...I spoke words of affection. they pointed, gently, in the direction a heart thought one should travel. What unraveled?

Suddenly, without the hint of expectation, you said that you love me. Where did this come from? When our hearts spoke...I did nothing save be myself. Heavens above me! I'd never realized there could be something desired within me.

When our hearts began to speak, and I imparted my words to you, I should have needs meet necessarily conceived that I would love you.
