I Will TRY not to Cry

I don’t get it,
And I don’t understand what is going on
You were always there
But suddenly you’re gone.

Every night before bed,
As I lie in my bed, I pray
I wish that you were here for me
And things were the old way

I’m so lonely now,
There’s no one here for me
Because you were the only one
Who could see exactly what I see

And everyday I miss you more
You were my best friend
But suddenly you were gone
You made everything end

I don’t understand anything,
Why did you have to leave so fast?
Forgetting everything that we had,
Dropping me in your past

You don’t realize how much this hurts,
As I sit here and write,
Of how you left me alone,
And what could have been right

Everyday I miss you more
As I stare at my phone, to wait for your call
But stupid I am because I know it won’t come
Instead you’d rather watch me fall.

So, just let it out, Tell me now
Once and for all, you do not care
It hurts me so much inside
That this pain I cannot bare

Everything you tell me, I know it’s true
But somehow you’re words – I cannot comprehend
Because all I remember are the days we were close
And how you were such a good friend

So with it all said and done
I will attempt to say goodbye
To the one I forever love
I will try not to cry.
