Confession Hope (Part 68)

by ntv650   Nov 21, 2004

Like sun in the shade of a nightmare
Or the crystal eyes that never cry
Similar to the legs that forever run
Or the patience my love must bind

The trust too false to be said aloud
Like the tainted chances that we take
When I show you where the fire hides
And this scared life in your hands I place

Take the heat from this burning flame
Place something of mine deep inside yourself
Replace it with more than nothing or pain
Until I can see you to take it back again

When things are as I have just said
The rose adorned by too many thorns
Or the fact that without you I have nothing
Is realised in the back of this head

Take my word for it I won’t wait
Freedom will be calling, albeit this time not death
So hoping that you are clear enough to understand
I’ll leave you with all my thoughts and your very last chance.
