I Wish

by John Holley   Nov 24, 2004

I wish you were here now
To help keep my eyes dry
I wish I didn't understand
How it feels to die
I wish the sun didn't
Really need you to rise
I wish we had been honest
Instead of telling lies
I wish I could see you smile
Smell your hair, feel you breath
I wish I knew the way
To make your parents believe
I wish the lord would touch me
And take away this sorrow
I wish I had a reason
To wake up tomorrow
I wish I could taste your kiss
'Cause nothing's more delicious
I wish I really didn't have to
Make so many wishes
