Drifter...

by Elizabeth Ann   Nov 28, 2004

Though farfetched, I want to prove who I am. But I’m too sore should I discover that I’m desperate. Having always been wrapped-up in things I couldn’t win...

Maybe in a different life I can be seen standing on my own again. Where I can look you in the eye...when I want you to notice, like I am anyone worthy...

Here, I know I’m carried on a drifters song and not real, so I can not close my eyes long enough to concentrate.

I wished for it never to end...it’s the best I’ll ever be...your imagination.

Another dirge, beautifully rendered, sadly ended.
