Christmas Wish

Christmas Wish

I remember when I was a little girl.
"Dear Santa" I would begin my letter.
Wishing for toys and candy.
I never thought I could get anything better.

I'm older now but I'm still wishing.
I've been a good girl, and so very kind.
So, theres only one thing I really want.
Theres only one thing on my mind.

A kiss under the mistletoe.
Cuddling next to the fire.
Watching the snow fall.
I want to be the one he desires.

I see people walking down the street.
Holding hands in the snow.
My Christmas wish this year
Is to be the one he wont let go.

Once again, but no longer a child.
I write another Christmas letter.
"Dear Santa" I begin again.
I never would have thought I would find anything better

"I know a wish is a wish,
It might not come true.
But Santa I love him,
And this is all I ask of you.
Please bring him to me
Make him my one and only.
Hes all I want for Christmas.
He is my Christmas wish."

Wrapped in a big red bow
Standing at my door.
Saying "I Love You"
Theres nothing I could want more.

I finish the note
And send it to Saint Nick.
I know he gets alot of letters.
But I hope he reads mine quick.

I know Santa wont let me down.
He always made me smile.
So I know this Christmas wish
Is definitely worth while.
